Blue lotus

The beautiful blue lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) is more than just a beautiful blue water lily. This flower has traditionally come from Egypt and was used for spiritual purposes back then. The blue lotus was seen as a symbol of rebirth. Other attributed properties of the blue lotus include increased libido (aphrodisiac), sleep enhancer, muscle relaxant, anxiety inhibitor and blue lotus can cause lucid dreams. The compounds nuciferin, apomorphine, which are found in the blue lotus, are nonselective dopamine agonists that can induce good feelings in individuals with predominantly low dopamine. Some even claim that the blue lotus is a healthier alternative to marijuana and cannabis and that the effects are about the same.

The truffle ceremony and psilocybin

In a truffle ceremony or magic mushroom ceremony, the psilocybin you ingest will be converted by the body to psilocin. Psilocin has a strong effect on the HT2a (serotonergic) receptors in the brain where it gives the psychedelic effects.

Some of the effects of psilocybin are the hallucinations, less ego, being more in the here and now, more connection to the emotions, more connection to the outside world, more satisfaction, experiencing more happiness and new brain connections are created.

Blue lotus and psilocybin

If we combine the effects of blue lotus with the effects of the psilocybin during a truffle ceremony they have a synergistic effect. The main effect the blue lotus is a pleasant feeling of warmth around the head and upper body. Furthermore, it provides a very comfortable, dreamy feeling, with a slight stimulating effect. The 6th chakra or third eye can be more easily opened by the blue lotus. Thanks to the strong hallucinatory effects of psilocybin and psilocin of magic truffles, you can turn inward in a peaceful a dreamy way. It's like combining lucid dreaming with psychedelics. Because the dopamine receptors are mildly stimulated by the substances from the blue lotus and the serotonin receptors are stimulated by the truffles, this can induce a feeling of euphoria. In short, it can provide an inward journey with plenty of tranquility, clear visuals and a good feeling.

We organize monthly truffle ceremonies. During such a truffle ceremony you can choose to combine it with blue lotus, you can ask for this. So these open ceremonies are open to you and strangers. Other possibilities are to form your own group and book a date at the Psychedelic Loft in Schiedam or at your own location. It is also possible to book an individual session with us. Finally, there is also a choice to do such a session as therapy (trip therapy) or just as a truffle ceremony without therapy. Read more about the possibilities through the following weblinks:
